The beginning
More space was needed to cope with the growing demand: by then the company had crossed into the marine market and was acquiring a new identity. O.M.C. became MARSILI Aldo — the steering wheel as a brand became synonymous with reliability and quality, and had to bear the founder’s name and face.
It was necessary to invest in traditional and semi-automatic machines, sanders and grinders, welding and carpentry, turning and milling, an assembly department with an enhanced test bench, a shipping department, hoists where needed and a large overhead crane — all housed in the new industrial building.
The first lathe
A second decisive step: the purchase of the first CNC lathe brought production fully up to date. The technical department began collaborating with the best Italian and international Naval Architects and with the most prestigious shipyards.
Automation
Marsili moved to industrial automation, strengthening production with CNC machines. This allowed greater penetration of the marine market and a rationalisation of the construction of autopilot servo systems, becoming official supplier of several brands.
Marsili Aldo & C. S.r.l. was born.
