Heavy Duty Series

HEAVY-DUTY trim tabs, FFH and FHA series, have been specially designed for half-displacing vessels having lenght up to 35 m FFH series is provided with AISI316 stainless steel box structure tabs, chord 50/60 and 70 cm. The equipment strong and reliable is mainly installed on several Luxury motoryachts, fast Navy patrol boats and medium passenger vessels. FHA series has the same features but it is provided with light alloy casting tabs and is suitable for any applications where the weight saving is prominent. These systems are complete with adjustable height fork arms moving the tabs throughout cylinders located inside the hull and assuring a higher protection from shocks and corrosion and preventing oil leakages.

Complete scope of supply includes:
TABS
One pair of tabs. box structure type, manufactured in aisi 316 stainless steel plate, with inside reinforcing frames, provided with hinge with pin – dimensions as per sketch
HYDRAULIC ACTUATORS & FORK ARMS
According to their span, tabs are driven by one or two pairs of hydraulic actuators located inside of the hull. Motion is transmitted to the tabs by a fork arm system, similar to a reversed “V” consisting of 2 adjustable stainless steel tubes. Upper part of the system is also provided with a bearing working in traction to secure all movements of the arm.
POWER PACKS
For both solutions (2 or 4 hydraulic actuators), two independent hydraulic power units with are supplied,  each provided with 24 v. DC or 380.50.3ph AC electric motor, gear pump constant delivery type, relief valves, accessories and tank.
ACCESSORIES
Supply is complete with 2 lever control switch (or joystick type on request) and mounting accessory kit including fittings and flexible hoses for connection between hydraulic actuators and power packs (lenght to be confirmed with order)
