Carbon FibreTrim Tab

A brand new proposal, mainly dedicated to high-performance racing-boats, has joined the great range of SEIPEM® OFF-SHORE trim tabs. This equipment is designed for high-speed motorboats and has a sturdy steel structure combined with the stiffness and lightness of the epoxy-carbon fibre tab.
This combination has a great reliability and resistance, even if keeping a lower weight compared with the standard tabs series in light alloy. Tabs are complete with AISI316 stainless steel hinge for installation on the transom, having reduced dimension to make easier its fixing. That also makes this series the most suitable for surface propeller drive units, water-jets and stern drive transmissions. Tabs sizes are custom designed and manufactured in accordance with the specific needs of the boat.
As per SEIPEM® tradition, equipment is driven by a couple of AISI316 stainless steel cylinders, without external piping, whose main advantage consist of low maintenance level and no breakages or wearing caused by the marine ambience.
Supply includes one pair of tabs, 2 or 4 cylinders (depending from tab size), two independent hydraulic power units, 12 or 24 Volts DC, and a mounting accessory set (fittings and hoses).
ON REQUEST: control pad (joystick or switches), analogic tab position indicator with cable transmission or, as alternative, monitoring system with digital sensors hidden inside the cylinders, coupled to a monitoring and control panel led type.
